Activated Charcoal + Apple Cider Vinegar Loc Detox Shampoo
“Activated Charcoal + Apple Cider Vinegar Loc Detox Shampoo”
Deep-cleansing + low-residue + easily rinsable + not excessively stripping.
* Activated charcoal: helps adsorb oils, product residue, and impurities from the hair/scalp. It can be useful in a clarifying shampoo.
* Apple cider vinegar: helps remove mineral/product buildup and can leave the hair feeling cleaner and less coated. Its acidity can also help bring the hair/scalp closer to its natural pH.
* Shampoo surfactants: are what actually do most of the cleansing by lifting oils, dirt, and buildup so they can be rinsed away.
Ingredients: Distilled Water, Aloe Vera, Glycerin, Sodium Phytate, Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Decyl Glucoside Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Apple Cider Vinegar, Activated Charcoal, Panthenol, Hydrolyzed Rice Protein, Rosemary Extract, Preservative.
Directions for Use
1. Wet locs completely with warm water, making sure the water penetrates throughout the locs and reaches the scalp.
2. Apply shampoo directly to the scalp and locs. Use enough product to create a generous lather, concentrating especially on the scalp, roots, and areas where buildup tends to accumulate.
3. Massage gently with your fingertips for 2–3 minutes. Do not use your fingernails or aggressively rub the locs.
4. Squeeze the shampoo through the locs from the roots toward the ends. This helps loosen oils, dirt, sweat, and styling product residue trapped within the locs.
5. Rinse extremely well with warm water. Continue rinsing until the water runs clear and there is no slippery shampoo residue remaining.
6. Repeat if necessary. For heavily soiled or product loaded locs, a second wash may be used.
7. Condition: Follow with your NaturallyMeByKaren Maximum Slip & Moisture Deep Conditioner if additional moisture and detangling/softening are desired.
8. Final rinse: Rinse thoroughly with cool or lukewarm water.
9. Dry locs completely. Gently squeeze out excess water with a microfiber towel or clean T-shirt and allow locs to dry thoroughly.
Recommended Use
Normal cleansing: 1–2 times weekly or as needed.
Heavy buildup: Use as a clarifying treatment when needed rather than daily.
